Client: Jeff Benoit
Coach: Cheryl Bayuk
- Town, State: Rehoboth, MA
- Training Focus: My lifetime goals are to adopt and promote a healthy, active way of life. For this year though I’m focusing on getting stronger on the bike and also rehabbing a left leg issue I’ve had for the past year with my running and my orthotics.
- Your "A Race" for 2006: Ironman Lake Placid
- #1 goal: My main goal at any race is to finish healthy. For this year I’d like to improve on my time from last year with the hope of going sub 11:30 and possibly flirting with the 11hr mark.
- Athletic Accomplishment You Are Most Proud Of: Most people don’t know that I was never an endurance athlete when I was younger. Not until halfway through college did I decide to take up triathlon and only then it was to stay in shape for track and field. But back in high school I was conference and state class champion in the indoor high hurdles. I think I was not the typical person thought of for such a fast and furious race but I worked tremendously hard and ended up beating guys much bigger and stronger than me. Plus I got my name in the headlines of the paper the next day!
- Favorite Snack/Food: Ice Cream and Pizza
- I'd rather be: able to work part time and spend more quality time with family and friends and training.
