Our client
of the month, Linda Ford, answers our Seven Super Questions!
Congrats Linda and keep up the good work! Linda is coached by Maura McCrann
- Town, State: Malden, MA
- Training Focus: To break 3:30 at the 2006
Boston Marathon. Then I will shift to shorter distances. Oh and
to listen to what my coach, Maura, tells me to do!
- Your "A Race" for 2005: Well, I
run like all my races are "A" races, which is my problem,
but if I had to pick one, it was the BAA 1/2 marathon, because
it was my first race that I trained for by doing EXACTLY what
my training schedule dictated. The hard work paid off and I ran
a 1:38:29.
- #1 goal: To get faster before I get slower!
My first goal is listed above, but I would also like to break
20 at a 5K. I did it once and know I can do it again!
- Athletic Accomplishment You Are Most Proud Of: I
like a challange, so I push myself to try things that I know
won't be easy and I may not be good at. So I am proud of the
fact that in 2004, I did my first sprint triathlon, won a bench
press competition, consistently broke 7s in races 5 miles or
under and qualified for the Boston Marathon at the Chicago Marathon.
- Favorite Snack/Food: There are too many great
foods to pick just one. However, I've found that the thought
of certain decadent foods is more exciting than eating them -
it's more like you want what you can't have. I'm lucky my husband
likes to cook delicious, healthy food, so I'm always enjoying
what I'm eating!
- I'd rather be: so rich my family could play
all day. But since that is not happening anytime soon, there
is nothing I'd rather be doing - I have everything I want and
need. As long as I can train and race, I'm all set!
